Ministry in the District

Unitarian worship across the Merseyside and District is conducted by various ministers and lay preachers.

Six congregations in the District – Park Lane Chapel, Matthew Henry Chapel (Chester Unitarians), Southport Unitarians, Ullet Road Church, Cairo Street Chapel, and Wirral Unitarians have formed a Partnership Ministry.

Hannah Stephenson, who has been accepted on to ministry training is at the present layperson in charge at Park Lane Chapel.

Claire Grace-Williamson is the layperson in charge at Gateacre Chapel.

Cairo Street Chapel has a team of accredited Lay Preachers who lead services.

The ancient Chapel of Toxteth is served by visiting preachers.

Southport Unitarians, Ullet Road Church, and Wirral Unitarians have a full-time minister, the Rev Phil Waldron.
